Busya is my apricot Maltipoo. She's my dog, she's real, and every photo of her on this site is genuinely her — no stand-ins. This game is about her. In the game she's Pixie; at home she's Busya.
Where the story came from
If you have a dog, you know the feeling: she watches the door until you come back. I wanted to tell a story where people search for her on the far side of the world, and she finds her own way home. A small dog, a very big world and one goal: to get home.
Hence the name: Across the World to You. It's a story about love, separation and loyalty, written for grown-ups. It can be bittersweet, yet the road is always kind to her: Pixie never gets hurt. If she trips, Aigerim catches up and picks her up, and the journey carries on with the next run.
Why a runner
A three-lane endless run is the most honest way I know to feel a road. Swipe left, right, jump, slide — and the cities and countries change under her paws. Chapter one is Uzbekistan: Khiva and the Cotton Fields; where the road leads after that is on the Map page.
Does Pixie look like the real Busya?
That was the big question from day one, and the honest answer is "not at first". Early versions came out as "a cute little dog", and I started again until the game showed her. The lesson: likeness is decided by the face, not the curls. How her photos became the references, and Busya side by side with her game self, are on the Real Busya page.
How it's made
The game is made by an independent developer and a small team. Some of the pictures and video were made with generative tools, but everything that ends up in the game is reviewed by hand and checked against her photos. Every outfit from the Suitcase and the shop is tried on her model before you ever see them.
What's next
The game comes to Android first; iPhone later. I'll post the date here once it's certain, and not before. Until then, Pixie keeps running.
